Week10 I was not attent almost half of week lessons, I was away on Monday and went to excursion on double lesson on Tuesday. During this week, searching more information and startting the out come report are the main thing. Otherwise i also start to work on my survey. With the interview, last friday Ms McInnes told me that I can chose her for interview. That is a good new at all, but i think i also need to contact the person that i did before to get another interview to support for more information. hopefully i can do it and next week is due of research outcome first draft.

the main mission for this week is prepaaring the discusion that i have just booked on friday lesson 4. by this week Ms McInnes also remind everyone about the D.L.S.O.P.E method. she said by now we have to up to O- organising. i aldready finish all of the work setting out for the rest of the term. After finishing the survey and interview i will starting to do the written report. i am still waiting for the reply from the GLCSSA about the interview suggestion. if that are not going answer me. by this weekend i will send thenm the email again or maybe by facebook. hopefully i will get it done.

In this week, I should start to think of survey questions that i am going to ask and the method i will use. I want to do the survey online, it will give me more advantages and the most inportant thing is saving time. for the interview plan, i did contact the organisation called Gay and Lesbian Community Services of South Australia (GLCSSA). week5 Starting week 5, I spent time to update my work behide last week. On monday, Ms Woud came to our class and introduced the new tool to help us doing survey. It is such a good method by using the Zoomerang and Survey Monkey. I aldready know how to use the survey monkey to produce my survey last year. It is really helpful but it took time to print out and gave everyone by paper and then we had to work out it for a long time to get the statistic. However with the Zoomerang web is better, we can produce survey directly to the internet with the social website like twitter, facebook....then they can do the statistic directly after people finish survey. that is heap and heap good method. The second mission that I have to finish in this week is the interview. I aldready got the website of the organisation, so i will contact them as soon as possible. Why should people accept same sex marriage? because the human right, they have right to love and marriage with whoever they love, so they should be acceptable
Why are majorities of people in society against same-sex marriage? beacause they strongly think that if the gay or lesbian couples can get marriage it will against the natural order of life, against the law and also really bad with some religions.

Why do gay and lesbian couples want to get marry? because getting marry can give them many benifits such as they can have the right of health care cover, tax protection or pension plan options...and so on, but the main reason is they want to live legally together

My computer was not woking last week due to i had not update my journal and my work on time. Therefore i decided to write in paper and then now update my week 4 journal in week 5. In this week we had a chance to meet a teacher from university to investigate what student think about reaserch project subject. There were some people in class think that this subject is not useful because we aldready do it with other subject. They said that is not nesccesary to this subject, they all know how to do it anyway. However some others think that is a good subject to do. It gives us idea how to do effectively and also good for preparation in further study like university. I am also quite agree that through this subject that i have and had learn many things and research skill. It is not that useless subjecct as they thought. In this week the main task was catching up all the work and doing 5Whys qusetion as i did above. I did not do much stuff so far in my project. So for next week I think I have to run for this or I will be behide everyone. Next week, i will still look for the organisation that I can contact to do my interview and then prepare to do the survey. It is quite ok now with my process.
Research project proposal At the end of last year, we had the trial year 12 day, we had to write 3 topics that we wanted to focus on. Initially, I chose immigration (refugee in Christmas Island) as my research topic. I kept that idea until I saw the topic controversial gay marriage. Instead, I chose same sex marriage for my investigation as it intrigued me. I decided to choose “same sex marriage and will it be acceptable in Australia” as a hypothesis. I want focusing on Australia for this topic. This is because there are many states in Australia that decriminalised same sex marriage. Therefore, I strongly believe that this also has become an issue of human rights. I chose this topic because it intrigued me. Otherwise nowadays, there are many people that they don’t want to get marriage with the opposite sex as the normal. Are they going to be accepted by family and social? Will same sex marriage effect to the population? Are they allowed adopting children? etc…. I had a lot of thought about this situation. I want to find out the answer. The other side that I’m concern about is if the same sex marriage is not recognize as legal marriage, is one of them going to do the operation to change sexual, then they reach to the requirement (Marriage means "the union of a man and a woman to the exclusion of all others, voluntarily entered into for life")? So then, can they have their own baby or not? Is it against the natural biology health or not? There are many thought about it. I’m mainly focus in some of organize gay and lesbian couple in Australia, and organize against it. I may also aim to the teenager and young adults. To do it, I think firstly I will search from the internet the gay or lesbian organisation in Australia. Then I will contact them to get more information such as interview or email them. Clearly I think I have to get consent first to do record or take picture if possible. Otherwise I also make survey and give it out for everyone which difference age and culture. It will support me to do the primary resource. Beside this, I also update the information from the internet, newspaper and magazine if possible. I already got the book relate to my topic about the gay and lesbian right, I think that is also the good resource. Finally I think I will represent my research by written report. It is also a good choice for going to university. Beyond the learning capability (learning a lot of new thing about research skills) I also focus in the citizenship capability. In this case, the community will support or against these people, and it is also a part of human right due to citizenship issue. So are we going to support or against it? That is all I have to find out.

week3 On monday lesson, Ms Mcinnes show everyone the way to denifine the topic by using the 5 steps of Research Skills called D.L.S.O.P.E. I had finished the first step D (define) and I will jump to the 2nd step (locate). Then she also show us the system called CRAP (C isCurrency, R is Reliability, A is Authority and finally P is Purpose to identified whether website is trusted or not.
The aim of this week is finish up the research proposal, so on tuseday lesson Ms Mcinnes gave us time to do it. Beside that she also called single one to ask how was our project so far and show some of trusted website and suggess some idea support our research. I also used that time to catch up some work that I had not finished yet.
On the rest of the week was still the time for finish up the proposal.
Next week I think I will look at the survey question and try to find out the organisation or people who can support me withe the interview part. Obvioustly Ineed to finish my 5 articles before monday lesson.

On tuesday, in double lesson, ms Mcinnes asked everyone keep working in thing called EBSCO. We had to find 5 articles and then write a brief summary for each of article why they are intersesting you. However I haven't finish them yet. I need more time to read it carefully and it also takes much time...because my english is not really good enought to understand all the meaning of some words. Some of them is really technical and complicated.
Then on thursday, I spent my time to focus on reading article and tried to catch up beacause I m a bit behind now comparing with others in class. Otherwise she asked us to start working in journal and start to think about the proposal which is going to be due next friday. week1 In the first lesson ms Mcinnes introduced to the class what is going happen on in the research project and how to do it effectively this year. Then she asked everyone to join in the wikispace with purpose update the weekly journal instead of handing up paper. It was really excited to learning the first thing in reasearch beacuse last year I did not use it for updating journal. In the next two lessons, she asked everyone should have their own topic to research this year. She also suggested the way easier to determine obviously the issue by using the wonder wheel tool. It was amazing, the topic that i might focus : immigration ( relate to the refugee in christmas island). However i m still not really sure about it.

On thursday, ms Mcinnes took the class to the library and showed all the books that gave the idea to find the topic, I also found one about the same sex marriage, its sound very interesting to me. Maybe I will chose it and just focus in australia and to see what australian think about it.
On friday, I tried to find out the general information of those 2 topic and tried to get ideas by using the wonder wheel tool. It was really helpful and interesting. I found some difficult to put in my journal at first time but it was fine then.
